Dr. Sonya Merrill is an accomplished businesswoman, organizational strategist, mentor, and coach. During her expansive career as a company officer and managerial professional, she has led large groups and small teams, grooming individuals for leadership positions along the way. She has a proven track record in organizational and Federal program management, finance, insurance, health care management, public health education campaigns, client relations, and research and college instruction. In 2008, Dr. Merrill chose to share her extensive experience with organizations seeking to develop sustainable business strategies and with professionals in career  and life transitions. As the founder of Transformative Discovery, LLC, Dr. Merrill strives to become the resource that organizations and professionals select on the path to purposeful and fulfilling performance. She is also co-founder and co-publisher of Reflections a business to business e-newsletter of inspirational messages written by and for today's 
organizational leaders.

Dr. Merrill earned a Ph.D. in business administration from Temple University’s Fox School of Business and Management with an emphasis on business strategy, organizational design and development, and health services administration. In 2008, she received her career management coaching certification through the Career Coach Academy, an International Coach Federation (ICF) affiliate.

Dr. Merrill currently serves on the Board of Directors for a non-profit organization that provides foster care placement for children and wholistic mental health services for families.
